Many E-Discovery vendors offer an array of services aimed at capturing all of your needs and addressing every EDRM stage your case will require. In our experience, this approach can sometimes lead to situations where there are simply too many gears relying on a single Project Manager.
We are different.
Our focus is to become an integrated part of your team during the beginning EDRM stages, learning the specific needs and subtleties of your case, and applying that knowledge to give your client the care and familiarity you would show them.In my experience, few people enjoy having a technician grab data from their personal computer, cell phone, or workstation. Our goal is to complete a thorough and efficient data collection without stressing the attorney-client relationship.
Futhermore, our intention is ALWAYS to aid you in acquiring specifically the data you need, rather than amassing the largest volume of data possible. With our specialization, you can greatly reduce the time, effort, and costs associated with Processing, Review, and Analysis as you move forward in the E-Discovery process.
About Pete Custer:
"My background in E-Discovery began with Systems and Network Administration of data processing and review platforms. Working with Processing Engineers and Project Managers, I witnessed so many issues that occurred simply due to things getting 'lost in translation.' I began practicing computer forensic methodologies, and applied this knowledge to large scale, corporate E-Discovery projects. I saw that there was a difference in the way the legal teams communicated and operated versus the e-discovery vendors, and realized there was an important place for a technician like me in a large scale data collection project.I have over 10 years of experience in assisting law firms and small practicers with their e-discovery and data collection needs...I like to think that I've seen it all when it comes to corporate data management, but I've found that this is a practice. Technology is always changing, and you should never make any assumptions about what will work. USB Write Access can be blocked. Non-NTFS drives may not be permitted. Client knowledge of their own technology always varies. What I've found to be most important is to have an array of tools ready, and to be platform-agnostic so that you can adapt to the client environment. The case where you do not have to change your methods on a large collection due to unforeseen circumstances is rare, if non-existent.
I most enjoy working the larger data collection projects, where I can find elegant solutions to these obstacles that always seem to pop-up, and see how different people use technology in their own unique way. It lets me bridge the fun, helpful nature of being a System Support Technician with the fast-pace, rapid nature of so many E-Discovery projects."
